I caught part of this. What a pair of monsters. I had one eye cocked whilst trying to look at holidays on line. One interesting thing, the mind control that prvented Jaycee from skipping or even using the interweb. The fear of retribution if she stepped out of line. I wonder where that came from.

Stupid suggestion from Study Conductor

hi everyone, first i just want to say if it wasn't this forum, i'd be baptized!

i haven't managed to successfully end my studies with a zealous jw.

she uses everything against me to brainwash me into believing i need the org.

Hi, I'm glad you've seen how things are. The problem is that your study conductor is probably sincere and completely convinced of everything she says. She thinks she is saving your life. She is desperate to get you involved and thinks she is doing the best she can for you. This makes you feel tied to what is suggested even when it is plainly stupid.

The only way to deal with it is firmness. If you keep dabbling you will get caught up and moved along. A clean cut is probably the only way at this stage. Not easy but thats my advice.

as if the other sept. 15th wt thread i started weren't controlling enough - in another study article titled " run ..... that you may attain it " were you aware that just eating and wearing clothes on your body - might be a " stumbling block " to you ?

in a prior article on pg.

12 , paragraph 6 the wt society sets up what they are trying to get across by stating, " people of the world tend to seek personal interests first as " men of this system of things, whose share is this life.

leaving behind an inheritance . Their share is this life only. Keeping in mind that the WT income is hugely bumped up by encouraging people to leave all their wealth to the society. This is sickeningly two faced.

I recall a recent situation in which someone left theirr property to the local congregation. The locals rang bethel and a bored bro said that they should see a lawyer and sort it out. The local then said that the amount involved was £3m+. The bethel finance people were there and had scooped up the pot within hours.

There are numerous letters and booklets about how to donate before or after death in a tax efficient manner. But.....don't buy food or clothing!

Thanks Blondie, well researched and thoughtful as ever. Did you notice the noo light/flip flop in p 11? All that about Jesus' loins busting with unborn billions is now officially discredited. I wonder if the son of God commited the sin of Onan to relieve the pressure. We have now reverted to one man, one sacrifice. Once again the advancing light just turns things around to what they were before the last advancing light on the subject.

If we were all in cars following our leaders in a convoy we would be constantly having to do U turns and broadsiding traffic coming the other way.

CO begging for more MS's

the co is at my husbands hall this week so i tied in to the meeting he was going on and on about how there are 140 elders in the circuit and only 80 something ms's.

of the elders 25 are over 75 years old.

of the ms's it was about 20 are over 75 years old.

In the next congregation to me a brother desperately wanted to be an elder. He brown nosed to the point of embarassment, he befriended elders, went on holiday with them, did jobs for them for free. Finally he made it, after 20 years as a MS he was appointed. Illiterate, the worst speaker ever but when those elders meetings were called, off he went.

Two weeks later he went on vacation, two weeks after that it was announced he had stepped down. Is this the shortest period of high office in history?

Yes I sniggered.
